Residence and compatibility

The princess is a gentle bird, and each aviary can be raised in pairs or mixed with other mild species. Because of their large size, it is dangerous to keep with the birds, so choose larger birds such as pigeons and parrots.
Princess parrots should have enough flying space to ensure they get enough exercise. Birds without flying space may be stressed or obese. It is recommended to have 4 meters (12 feet) of uninterrupted flight space.
Branches of non-toxic trees should be used as natural habitats. These birds also like to chew bark, leaves and seeds for entertaining and exercising the beak.
Princess parrots can be noisy, especially when they are in groups. When you decide where to place this species, consider your neighbors.

The princess has a close relationship with the ruling parrot (Regent King Parrot) and the Super Parrot (Balaban Prairie). If these species are placed together, it is possible to cross.

Diet and feeding

Seeds are the basis of the Parrot  princess diet. A premium blend of small parrots or love birds is acceptable. Seeds lack many essential vitamins and minerals and must be compensated for by introducing other foods. Germinated seeds increase the nutritional value of the seed and are an inexpensive way to improve the health of birds. Freshly grown green tops should also be provided frequently.

Princess parrots also need a variety of fruits and vegetables to ensure good health. They like sweet and juicy fruits such as apples and pears, but it is important to provide more nutritious green foods such as broccoli, kale and cabbage. Corn cobs are especially popular.

Pellet feed can be a more nutritious alternative to seeds, but many birds are reluctant to eat.

Some birds will eat insects during the breeding season. Since insects are an important source of protein, if birds are willing to eat insects, they should provide living foods such as whiteflies or
termites.d farming.

Princess parrots are quite easy to breed and usually have excellent fertility and hatchability. They usually produce two or two nest eggs per year.

Reproduction usually begins in the spring as the weather begins to warm up. Several different nest boxes should be provided as different birds prefer different sizes/shapes. Hollow logs are also suitable as nest boxes, but care should be taken to control pests and parasites. A thin layer of lint or wood chips should be placed in the nest box.

Incubation is carried out only by female birds for approximately three weeks. Young birds grow feathers at 5 weeks of age and are completely independent of their parents after 3 weeks. Young birds can usually live with their parents, but if aggressive behavior is observed, they must be separated immediately.

Sex idenication

Princess parrots are both sexes, which means they can be visually differentiated into gender. The male has bright blue spots on his head and dark pink spots on his throat.

mutation

A fairly extensive princess parrot mutation has been established. Common colors include blue, yellow, and white (whitening).
